Steven Koller
Comments Off on Steven KollerSteve Koller is an Climate and Housing Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. His work focuses on policy design at the intersection of flood risk mitigation, public infrastructure investments, and flood impacts on vulnerable households.
He received his PhD in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Miami’s Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy. Prior to UM, Steve was an Economics and Policy Analyst in the Environmental Defense Fund’s (EDF) Office of the Chief Economist in New York City. At EDF, he worked on research and advocacy to advance federal carbon pricing policy, as well as cost-effective natural and nature-based flood risk mitigation solutions in New York and New Jersey. He also served as the Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club alternate representative to the Gowanus Superfund Community Advisory Group.
Steve received an M.I.A. degree from the University of California — San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, and a B.S. from Penn State — University Park. He is originally from Staten Island.

Comments Off on Francesca BastianiniOriginally from Caracas, Venezuela, Francesca Bastianini, LC, IES is now a Brooklyn-based lighting designer and educator. She is the co-founder and principal of Sighte Studio, a practice that folds education, research, and community engagement into design. She is also a part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons in the Architectural Lighting program.
Sighte Studio is an architectural lighting design studio illuminating communities with expertise and compassion. They are stewards of light and facilitators for the creation of beautiful, functional, and just spaces.
