It’s our favorite holiday — VanAlentines Day!

We’re taking a moment to acknowledge the care that defines Van Alen’s network of community-led design leaders. Every day, this exceptional network collaborates to reshape NYC’s public realm, making a more just and vibrant city for all.

Over the past year, Van Alen has partnered with 165 designers, community leaders, and built environment professionals on ground-up collaborations. Our community partners are based in 10 neighborhoods, providing essential resources and advocacy for more than one million New Yorkers. And our design partners continue to show up with passion, committing an astounding 2,500 pro bono hours to our community-led public space projects.

Together, our work builds between trust community leaders, designers, and allies; results in public realm activations that inform and engage thousands of residents; and creates transformational change in the way that people come together to co-create shared spaces.
