Anand Amin
Senior Development Manager, DBI Projects

Anand Amin is a Senior Development Manager at DBI Projects, where he advises universities, nonprofit organizations, public entities, and private clients on complex real estate and urban development initiatives. His work spans feasibility and strategic planning, owner’s representation, public-private partnerships, capital planning, and the implementation of large-scale institutional and mixed-use projects.
Prior to joining DBI, Anand served as Senior Advisor for Real Estate in the New York City Mayor’s Office, where he led major development initiatives involving affordable housing, mixed-use redevelopment, civic infrastructure, and public-private partnerships. His work included advancing the redevelopment of the Kingsbridge Armory, Willets Point, SPARC Kips Bay, and publicly owned sites across the five boroughs. Earlier in his career, he held leadership and planning roles at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Department of City Planning, and New York City Housing Authority, working across housing policy, land use, urban design, and neighborhood planning.
Anand previously served on the boards of the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Industrial Development Agency and Local Development Corporation, as well as the Empire State Development Atlantic Yards Community Development Corporation. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
