Aleksey is a third generation architectural designer, builder and creative problem-solver. He is a graduate of the Cooper Union School of Architecture, founder of SITU, and brings over 25 years of hands-on experience across residential, commercial and institutional sectors. He has worked with a wide range of clients including Brooklyn Public Library and the New York Hall of Science, the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum, Google’s Creative Lab and the company’s R&D division, as well as developers such as Tishman Speyer, Hines and Related Companies.
Aleksey’s work has been featured in multiple publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Architectural Record, Frame and Interior Design Magazine. For the past two decades – Aleksey has been a guest lecturer, and a visiting critic at colleges and universities across the U.S. and internationally, including University of Virginia, University of Minnesota, American University in Beirut, Columbia University, Harvard School of Design, Pratt, and the Cooper Union School of Architecture. He has been invited to speak at multiple regional, national and international conferences covering topics of design in education, workplace, as well as professional development in the field of Architecture. In 2018 Aleksey received the President’s Citation Award for outstanding achievement in architecture from The Cooper Union.
