Agency—Agency is an award-winning architectural design studio directed by Tei Carpenter that pursues a better world through the transformative potentials of design. Based in New York City, the studio specializes in cultural, residential, civic, and public projects engaging design at multiple scales including environments, infrastructure, buildings, exhibitions, and furniture.
Agency—Agency has been recognized with a number of awards including the League Prize by the Architectural League of New York (2021), New Practices New York by the American Institute of Architects (2018), included as a Next Progressives by Architect Magazine, and in Domus Magazine’s list of the Best 100 Architecture Firms (2019). The studio’s work has been exhibited internationally at the Museum of Modern Art, the Oslo Triennale, the Storefront for Art and Architecture, the Center for Architecture and the Venice Biennale.
