Van Alen is creating more equitable cities by sharing the tools and resources that make it easier for residents to shape the places where they live. As a supporter, you help shift the power balance in city-making by putting communities at the heart of an inclusive design process. 

Public Realm Patron: $25,000+

Supporters at this level will receive:

  • Invitation to special access walking tour and dinner with Neighborhoods Now partners and design justice leaders, exploring how collaborative design is transforming NYC’s post-pandemic public realm
  • Exclusive visit to fabrication design studio for the Downtown Brooklyn Public Realm R&D installation and invitation to launch event with designers, program partners, and other special guests
  • Co-host recognition at our annual Van Alen Block Party in Gowanus on October 1, 2022, including prominent exposure on-site and in corresponding communications, opportunity to give remarks, and a dedicated social media post acknowledging support in event lead up
  • Invitations and co-host recognition at intimate pre-Block Party mixer on September 28, 2022, at the studio and home of renowned Gowanus-based artist Ray Smith

Your support could help to promote social cohesion, elevate untold narratives, and empower BIPOC designers through Public Realm R&D, a program bringing full-scale installations to prominent urban spaces in Downtown Brooklyn and Flatiron Plaza.
