En asociación con las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Miami-Dade y el Instituto CLEO, nos complace anunciar el segundo año de Climate Design Lab. El programa PAGO de tres semanas busca involucrar a 20 estudiantes de secundaria de 16 años o más en una competencia para investigar, diseñar y desarrollar soluciones innovadoras para el cambio climático. Arquitectos, diseñadores, académicos y expertos líderes en ciencia y diseño del clima de la Florida guiarán a los estudiantes en el desarrollo de soluciones para futuros impactos del aumento del nivel del mar en el sur de la Florida.

Los estudiantes presentarán sus ideas a un grupo de expertos de diversas disciplinas, incluida la ciencia del clima, la educación sobre el cambio climático, el diseño y el gobierno municipal, en una ceremonia pública de premiación al final del programa.

El Laboratorio de Diseño Climático de este año se llevará a cabo del 1 al 19 de julio de 2019, en una ubicación en Miami por determinar.

Manteniéndose Al Día: El desafío del aumento del nivel del mar para el Área Metropolitana de Miami es una serie de concursos de diseño abierto que invita a los equipos interdisciplinarios a desarrollar soluciones e ideas utilizando los enfoques de la economía, la ecología y la equidad para adaptarse al aumento del nivel del mar.

Trabajaremos con los municipios locales en el área metropolitana de Miami, junto con funcionarios electos, académicos, líderes empresariales, defensores de la comunidad y residentes.
