Tony Grist is a joint Head of Design for Architecture at HASSELL, an international, design practice with studios in Australia, China, South East Asia and the United Kingdom. In this pivotal leadership role he shapes design outcomes on the practice’s major projects worldwide.
HASSELL brings the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture and interior design together to unlock greater value in projects and create unique civic outcomes. Tony is particularly focused on releasing such potential within the commercial, health, education, infrastructure and urban design sectors. He sees these cross-discipline projects as central to city making today.
Tony has led a range of high-profile large scale international projects, including rail and aviation projects in China and Australasia, health projects in Europe and the Middle East, commercial and workplace projects in Japan, the UK and Australia, and large scale urban regeneration projects internationally. Across all these projects the holistic nature of the outcome is inherent to the project’s success.
Tony is based in Sydney but works across the global HASSELL studios. He is a registered architect in the UK and Australia and has also practiced in Japan. He established the London studio for HASSELL in 2010
