Ida Marie Hansen

Ida Marie Lyth Hansen is a researcher, writer, designer, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently pursuing an M.S. in Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices in Architecture at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Her work utilizes archival material as a lens for inquiry and social change, with particular focus on intersectional feminist practice, education, and colonial residue in the far north. Previously, Ida Marie has written for e-flux Architecture, taught as a graduate teaching assistant at Barnard College, and practiced as an architectural designer and project designer. Ida Marie holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Social Justice/Social Practice from Pratt Institute, where her culminating thesis earned her the Degree Project Award.
