On December 15, celebrate the transformation of a vacant lot in North Miami with design tours, music, and food!
An interdisciplinary design team led by Department Design Office is transforming a flood-prone lot in North Miami into a community space and water retention site. On December 15, we invite you to celebrate the grand opening of this newly designed park.
We’ll be joined by Department Design Office, city officials, community ambassadors, and members of climate adaptation and resilience organizations. Throughout the day, the design team will lead tours showcasing the methods, tools, and materials they used to transform the site from a flood zone into a public space.
This event is part of Keeping Current: A Sea Level Rise Challenge for Greater Miami.
