Park(ing) Day Book Exchange

The annual public space adventure known as Park(ing) Day NYC took place Friday, September 16, and Van Alen hit the asphalt for the second year running with an installation dedicated to architecture and design publications.

This year, we claimed the parking space in front of Van Alen Books on 22nd Street to host the Park(ing) Day Book Exchange. Throughout the day, friends, supporters, and the public stopped by with design and urbanism books to donate, and took a book in return. Thanks to everyone who participated -- and happy reading!
