Design Speed Dating: Portfolio Reviews

The third round of Van Alen’s popular Design Speed Dating event took place at our Seasonal Brunch on December 4, 2010. In another lively exchange, participants Matus Vallo, Ekta Desai, Kunal Ghevaria, and Valerio Sibona presented their portfolios to established designers, critics, and professionals in a "speed-dating" or round-robin format.

Our fabulous critics for this round were VAI Trustee Susan Fine (oasesRE), Julie Iovine (The Architect's Newspaper), Andrea Kahn (designCONTENT), and Anthony Vidler (The Cooper Union). Check out video of what the critics had to say at our Vimeo page.

As with each Design Speed Dating event, the participants’ portfolios will join a growing archive in our collection and be given a permanent place in Van Alen’s Reading Room. We encourage you to submit your digital portfolio to vai@vanalen.org for the next round. Submissions must be in PDF format, and no larger than 5MB.
