Van Alen Institute's IN CONVERSATION series pairs diverse practitioners - in spontaneous, unscripted dialogue - to bridge work in contemporary architecture and urbanism with other disciplines that engage the public realm.

This conversation is being presented in conjunction with the Shrinking Cities exhibition currently on view at the Institute. Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. and urban designer/critic Michael Sorkin will challenge preconceptions about the Bronx and will discuss the Borough's history and development with respect to other international urban regions.

Visit Shrinking Cities online for additional information about the exhibition and related programs.
